GeeklyHub Reviews 5 Ways Our Learning Habits Have Changed During The Covid-19 Times

As we have entered the world driven by restrictions and social distancing rules because of the Covid-19, our learning habits have changed a lot starting from how we seem to communicate via various video conferencing solutions to the creation of online college parties. Still, as our GeeklyHub team confirms, we have also started to read more and focus on global perspectives of online learning. In other words, students from all over the world unite their efforts more than ever before as they learn and seek those helpful solutions by exchanging information. It is hard to say whether it has happened because we have more time now or not, one thing is for certain — our learning habits have changed!

1. We Learned to Think Beyond The Textbooks. It has also been the case not only with colleges but with educators as well as we started to explore the books that we had for ages during the times of social isolation. As GeeklyHub reviews experts could find out, the majority of college students who have to study remotely actually took time to look at the free courses that are available online to boost their skills and knowledge. Since we are limited to our personal judgment these days, our perception of learning has changed as well.

2. We Can Barely Cope Without Video Conferencing. Skype or Zoom became an integral part of our learning these days, which makes our GeeklyHub reviews team question the importance of these solutions. Since it goes beyond video lectures hosted by college professors, we started to use video calls as a way to ask questions or share information. Some students even use it to host online college parties, which also affects the way we learn these days by sharing our thoughts with each other as we leave our online streams running for hours!

3. Group Projects Became More Popular. Who hasn’t tried one’s best to avoid these odd group projects where you have to complete some part and complain that others take more time than they were supposed to? We all surely did, which is why college students did not like them that much! The situation is quite the opposite these days since the group projects are all about communicating and keeping that social interaction element active. While we are dealing with the woes and grief of Covid-19 times, team projects became a helpful solution for many!!

4. We Tend to Read More. It may sound surprising, yet it is true because we started to read more, especially the books in print that we had for decades. Since some of us have the luxury of spending time in the countryside, it became a good reason to pick some books along and finally read those interesting novels, detectives, or even horror books. The great part of it is that it also improves our grammar skills and affects the way we learn since we finally read not for the sake of getting some assignment done on time but for the sake of mental pleasure and inner growth.

5. Our Global Cooperation & Learning of Foreign Language Have Increased. Since we are all in this together, college students decided to cooperate with fellow learners from all over the world to learn learn and engage in community work. Starting with the social causes and volunteering to simply learn a language, people became more united than ever before. It also includes a cultural exchange that takes place online as the video streams and important events become not only the ground for influencers to have their say but for ordinary students who want to share their experience with the world.

Can We Really Do More?

It may seem that our learning schedules became more flexible since we do not have to drive or walk to college every morning or spend time visiting the local libraries. Still, as one would expect that we have to do more, we are often able to achieve even less than before as we spend hours waiting for video lessons or struggle with the hiccups of video conferencing. As our GeeklyHub reviews team can confirm, we have to adjust to the new realities and it is not always easy, which is why it is only the beginning of something new that we still have to analyze and learn from as time passes by. It is vital to take one step at a time and remember that living during the Covid-19 times is far from being easy and it always takes a mental effort to stay positive when there are so many apprehensions and things one cannot change. The trick is to approach each challenge together and stay calm no matter what by taking advantage of every opportunity we have!
